Joseph W. Brady, CCIM, SIOR and President of Joseph W. Brady, Inc., DBA The Bradco Companies, the High Deserts longest standing commercial brokerage firm is pleased to announce the recent and exclusive representation for the sale of the Air-Tech building located at 11253 “G” Street in Hesperia, Calif.

Mr. Bruce Kallen, Senior Commercial Sales Associate for Shear Commercial Real Estate, represented Mr. Steve Curran, owner of Curran Electric, Inc., an electrical contracting company originally based in Barstow, Calif., where it was founded in 1963.

The property that Curran purchased was owned by Mr. Tom and Mrs. Joan Hawkinson, owners of Air-Tech, an air conditioning and heating company who decided after nearly 33 years to sell their business to Accu-Temp Heating & Air Conditioning located in Hesperia, and to retire.

“Many years ago Mr. Jay Brokasher was associated with our firm and when we decided to sell the business and we thought that Jay would be the best operator and would be the best solution for all of our long-term clients,” explained Joan Hawkinson (owner).

“We have worked with Joseph W. Brady, The Bradco Companies for nearly 20 years. He originally found us our facility when the property went into foreclosure with Sun Country Bank many years ago,” explained Tom Hawkinson (coowner of Air-Tech).

“We were able to facilitate a sale to another High Desert contractor that appreciated the work that we had done on our building during the nearly 20 years that we owned it,” explained Tom Hawkinson.

“We were extremely pleased to have the opportunity of working with Joan & Tom Hawkinson. A company that had the history that they had that ultimately dated back to 1968 when Tom had worked for the predecessor company and Tom & Joan formed Air-Tech in 1982, was a very humbling opportunity,” explained Brady.

The 10,000±-square foot building located on over an acre of property had nearly 2,500± square feet of build-out office.

It included a recently built loading dock and was centrally located at the northeast corner of G Street and Eucalyptus.

According to Kallen, this is the first major relocation of a Barstow Electrical Contractor into the Victor Valley, “Ken attempted to expand in Barstow, and not only was he landlocked, but he could not find any buildings that made sense for him based on where the market was for him to purchase. He will continue to serve the Barstow are, but this allowed him a greater amount of flexibility and growth over the long-term for him and his company. That was paramount in our decision to show him this property,” explained Kallen.
